May 9 - A deal between Israelis and the Palestinian gunmen holed up in Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity broke down at the last minute early this morning, apparently over the status of the thirteen "most-wanted" terrorists inside the church.

The Israelis had already settled on exiling the men rather than extraditing them into Israel. Oddly enough, no nation expressed interest in accommodating the terrorists.

Thanks to the Internet, however, the Israeli government believes it may have found a solution.

"Faced with the intractable problem of getting rid of something nobody wants, we have decided to do what everyone else does in such a situation," a spokesperson for Prime Minister Ariel Sharon announced this afternoon. "The Nativity 13 will be auctioned off on Ebay. We will even pay all shipping and handling charges."

The Israeli government reminded potential bidders that the Internet is a sales tax-free zone and stressed the memorabilia value the 13 terrorists would likely accrue over time.

"Who thought people would get nostalgic about the Cold War? About Disco? And yet they did."

The Israeli government has not yet announced whether the terrorists will be offered individually or as a set.
